CoolSculpting Results in a Beautiful Flat Stomach- My Sto
My stomach has always been my hidden stress booster. I was
initially willing to do almost anything to get rid of the stubborn fat it
flaunts, so when I was given the opportunity to test the treatment out, I
decided to give it a shot. Being an avid runner with a knack for delicious pizza,
I always thought I had nothing to lose.
Since CoolSculpting promised "no downtime," I
could easily resume my training for the back-to-back 10K and half-marathon I
had on the calendar about eight weeks later. I wouldn't need to disappear from
my work either-and would hopefully soon be gifted with a firmer six-pack.
Win-win, right
So I stepped into one of the overheard medical spas on a
quiet Saturday morning. However, with no one else in the waiting room, I
abruptly felt alone-and nervous. As a reporter, I should have done more crucial
research on this before experiencing it. What I realized is I had no idea what
I was getting into but somewhere I trusted my instincts. It was entirely a new
yet enticing adaptation related to my health or body.
What Happened During
The Procedure?
In the first phase, the technician placed a towel dripping
with a freezing device on the clumsy roll of fat. The strange-looking
CoolSculpting device would then clamp this. Not sure but the device hummed for
about an hour, killing fat cells, and I'd be able to stream Netflix throughout
(The bonus point). Then, she'd come to bug me, rub my fat back out for two
minutes, and we'd repeat on the other side. All-in-all, this would persist to
two whole hours. But it is still better than a gazillion crunches, with no hard
labor involved, right?
I thanked God as you go completely numb after about 10
minutes. For the rest of the hour I experienced a blurred image of Mariska,
chilly temps, and constant pain though it was for a small amount of time. At
small intervals, I watched the countdown clock second by second on the
CoolSculpting machine.
After an hour, my once roly-poly roll of fat had condensed
into what feels and was not less than a hard stick of butter. The technician
restarted the process again to what were the 120 most amazing seconds of my
life when she moved onto my right lower abdomen which for me was the most
problematic area. This also, she explained, would help minimize swelling to a
great extent and aid in the lymphatic drainage of the new dead fat cells. Not
exaggerating but with a stream of tears running down my cheeks, I told her the
pain was worth it. Later on, I had to come back another day to get clamped on
the other side to reduce fat. (By the end of the process, I was provided with
my before and after imagesof CoolSculpting and now I realize it was an amazing transformation.)
